Mr Hamilton Read this (part 5 of 5)

Here's the last graded post:)

Anyway yesterday was Sean's birthday. We went out to celebrate his birthday by watching a movie. Immediately after school, we went to his house to put our bags down and change. We walked to MacDonald's for a sumptuous meal. When at Mac, Han Wei got a 'discount'. Instead of paying the correct $5.50 for his meal, he only paid $5! So lucky.

We took bus 36 to suntec city, and rushed to the cinema there.much to our dismay, the movie had already started. We then tried our luck and rushed to marina square. To our horror, the movie timing was way, way before! Whoa, we were so unlucky:( In the end, we rushed( OK this time not so rush) back to suntec city to kill time. When we finally realised the time, the next movie was about to start! Seriously, this was going to be the third time we were running the long distance of one end of suntec city to the other end of marina square!

Fortunately, we made it in time(although Han Wei was panting like crazy). By the time we entered the theater, it was still the last advertisement so we didn't miss any of the movie:)
The movie we watched was The Tooth Fairy. It is a pretty nice movie, with good meanings. For example, it teaches us to dream and set goals. If we don't aim high, we will never be able to accomplish anything great. This is a story about setting goals.

A lecturer prepared a test for his students. The test questions were divided into 3 categories, and the students were instructed to choose questions from only one of the categories. The first category of questions was the hardest and was worth 100 points. The second, which was easier, was worth 75 points. The third, the simplest, was 50 points. Upon completion of the test, students who had chosen the hardest 100-point questions were given As. The students who chose the 70-point questions received Bs. Those who settled for the easiest questions were given Cs. The students were frustrated with the grading of their papers and asked the lecturer what he was looking for. The lecturer, smiled, and explained, "I wasn't testing your book knowledge. I was testing your aim.

This story, just like the movie, teaches us to dream big and aim high.

OK, I'll end here now.

Bye:)

Mr Hamilton Read this (part 4 of 5)

Hi all:)

Just finished my home econs sewing of my teddy bear head:)

That's the head, if it even looks like a head-.- Erm I think the nose is pointing at you:) Today was pretty tiring. Tuesday is the worst day. History, Chinese, Maths and Literature all very hard... never mind tomorrow will be quite slack:) Volleyball players are so lucky, get to skip all the lessons because of some match...

History, as usual, was pretty fast, with Mr Thiru breezing through the lesson. Wait, there was not much of a lesson. He spent most of our time going through the TfU. Haha we also watched a documentary. We needed to do things quickly for Chinese because we didn't have time to do the TfU worksheet... In the end we left one question blank... Brandon was trying to quickly finish it, but the teacher snatched the paper away from him. Haha we took a test for maths, and i didn't bring my calculator, so i had to run to another class to borrow before the teacher came. I think I screwed it up.

During literature, Mr Tan was going through act 1 scene 2 of Macbeth, and chose Sean, me and Sing Chien to read. Sean read the most, while I only read 1 or 2 lines:) Sean cracked the whole class up with the Indian accent(just like Mr Hamilton) Haha Sean Haha:) Oh ya tomorrow is Sean's birthday so lets tau pok him:) Talking about studying, here's another joke:)

There was this boy who was playing too much computer games. In an effort to stop him from playing too much, his father told him "When Abraham Lincoln was your age, he was studying by the fireplace." His son retorted "When Abraham Lincoln was your age, he was the president of the united states."

Back to talking about school,

2.14(school ends at 2.15)- Ryan, Gabriel, Wilson and Wen Ping came rushing through the maths lesson and exclaimed "We made it in time!" Jokers-.- But anyway they trashed their opponents so everyone was quite happy:) Then Ms Lim told them that they needed to stay back to take the maths test...

After school, those who skipped home econs yesterday had to go for their make-up class. But, Ms Hashima was in India. AGAIN. I think she had already gone last week and this week, she's gone again? Haha for me, I went to some chinese doctor because the western medicine doesn't seem to help my nose. The medicine is extremely bitter(wonder what it's made up off), but fortunately, the pills are quite small:)

Here's a picture of those medicine...

I'll end here so bye for now:)

Mr Hamilton Read this (part 3 of 5)

I am currently training for my gold star swimming test. I have been swimming for like 4 years, and I hope to take the gold star test by march. Gold star is much more tedious then gold, because the requirements are much higher. For example, for the first part, you have to swim 100 metres in 3 minutes for gold. That is already quite hard, but for gold star, you need to be under 2minutes and 30 seconds. And don't forget, we also have to wear pyjamas(12 years and above must wear long sleeve ones...)

and a t-shirt below plus your swimming costume. Luckily for me, I changed to trunks a year ago, so it will help me reduce my time:) I am getting a little bored of swimming, although it is useful and can help me train my stamina.

Actually swimming can be quite fun, but if you swim a lot and must swim fast, it can be very tiring. However, swimming has many good points. For example, it will make you fitter and will help in your 2.4. Although swimming trains different muscles, it still trains your endurance, which is much needed to run. Swimming can also make you more determined and teaches you to persevere. If you cannot hit the timing, you will need to keep on trying and not get discouraged
Talking about swimming, there is this joke that I once heard.

"I thought i could trust the people who used my pool, but all I know is that when i filled it last year I put in 20000 gallons, but when I emptied it last week I took out 22000 gallons."

The people who used the pool are certainly irresponsible aren't they? Anyway, in Tampines Swimming Complex, the pool can also be quite dirty at times, and there can be bits of tissue paper floating about. Disgusting! Fortunately, most of the time the management cleans the pool:) So try not to bring tissue near to the pool, because it will disintegrate and become like 'wanton'.
A picture of my gold certificate, plus the badges:) The gold star ones look much nicer:)

Haha I'll end off here, hope i can pass:).

Mr Hamilton Read this (part 2 of 5)

Hi everyone:) Sorry I meant to post this yesterday but I didn't have the time... Anyway yesterday we had our 2nd pe lesson! Instead of running 2.4, we ran 100m zzz... But at least we got to play floorball:) Actually it was a bad idea to play floorball then run because we were probably drained and tired out. While we were playing, I learnt a few lessons. For example, a few of my classmates kept soloing and didn't pass even though we were open and near them. In the end, they lost the ball to the opponent. This taught me about teamwork. For example, in a game of soccer, the striker needs the centre-forward to feed him the ball. This reminds me of a story I once heard. There was this time where all the people in the world decided to shout "boo" at the same time, so that the great shout could be heard on the moon. But when the appointed time came for the great world shout there was nothing but great spectacular silence. Everyone was so anxious to hear the great sound that everyone remained quiet. This also teaches us not to be selfish. If we want to succeed with the team, we must all co-operate and not just let others do all the work and leech off them.

Coming back to the day, Mr Maran visited our class today. Not say really visited , but since there was not any teacher, he came in for a while. Well i have this to say. Mr Maran is like the opposite of Mr Chia when it comes to classroom discipline. When he came in today, the class was not really quite and the 2 monitors were just sitting at their places. MR Maran just came in and talked to us nicely. Mr Chia, on the other hand, would come in and bang on the door and yell for everyone to be quiet. In the end, he would only make us quiet by being fierce, which is not good. He should talk to us nicely, and earn our respect(just like Mr Hamilton).

Hahas that's all i have to say for now.

Bye:)

Another post(Not Graded)

Lol i don't think i want this to be graded... Anyway today we did another Chinese TfU. It was easier then yesterday, cause i think we had more experience:) And our group went up to present. Didn't know that if we presented we would get extra marks:) My group chinese not that good, so we'd need all the marks we can get. Sadly, since gabby didn't come yesterday, he had to join another group haha the not so tall people(not saying that i'm very tall) and he looked kind of emo;) oh ya. Yesterday during maths lesson, the teacher yanked the projection screen and it slammed backwards and 'BANG!' It hit the top. Then after that she go say its accidentally one, but i think she did it a few times le( i think most people would agree with me). Everyone was thinking-'so violent'. Actually a few people said it already, but softly. Then Gavin extra go voice out what everyone was thinking loudly- "teacher, so violent ah" or something like that. LOL she immediately turned around and told him to stand. She also threatened to send him to Chia. But in the end as usual, i think she forgot. Either that or she 'kind' let him go... Talking about forgetting, Sing Chien also forgot to bring his Maths 1(the exercise book we use for the lesson). He managed to escape until the last 10 min. "Wheres your Maths 1?" She stared at sing chien with her one eye;) haha in the end she told emmanuel to remind her to make him stand for the next lesson which is on friday... Haha i think she will forget also... Me, Sean and ahmad was like 'don't care la, sure forget one' so i think emmanuel won't tell... Unless Sing Chien forgets to bring his book again. So good luck, Sing Chien:) Lol i think i'll end my post here, bye:)

Mr Hamilton read this(1 out of 5)

Haha this is the first serious post... Sorry for not posting earlier like cause on saturday i was at BB in the morning. Then in the afternoon, i went to east coast park for my church's spg (student peer group) day... The cycling was fun:) Anyway, I only have time now to post so I'll try to think of something... Sean, Sing Chien and those who went to lan during school hours(ok, not during school hours but they were dismissed early for lunch) for 1st person shooter game training thing are so lucky; could skip home ec. But haha, the rest of us will have advantage of starting our sewing assignment:) And lol today Mr Chia walked past our class without stopping to 'say' anything;) i think it's one of the few times:) If I'm not wrong we were having CE and it was group discussion so i guess we were pretty quiet:) Oh ya during science lesson Mr Gabriel spent half his lesson arranging our places, and Yong Kai almost sat beside emmanuel hahas... But he managed to bargain his way out-.- Oh ya i think Mr Gabriel forgot about giving us the class test too:) all he gave us was a question which he wrote on the board... During maths Sean was like also scared cause his maths paper was not returned to him and only the ones that needed to redo was still with teacher... In the end he got full marks and was sooooo relieved... Kind of like what happened ast year for geogaphy SA2. The teacher recorded the marks wrongly and SEan was also worried... But more that time because it was exam... Anyway I'm going to buymy thermometer so I'll end this post now. cheers:)

Lol den today we did lit essay, lucky can refer to notes:) i juz happene to spam stuff from internet yesterday:)but i think most of my stuff ar irrelevant? Then during chinese lesson, guess what there were 4 teachers! not juz 1, not 2, but 4! I think cause our chinese teacher was new or something like that, then one teacher was filming us then we were like ducking whenever the camera came to view lol. During history lesson Mr. Thiru was like spamming his powerpoint slides. The total OPPOSITE from Mr. Khoo(last year history teacher) in the end, he went through the whole lesson within 35 min-half of the lesson only! The rest was juz slack:) Lol and sean next time try not to go fishing before Mr Amir'sclass;)
